Supercritical will help OHC develop curriculum and lesson plans designed to maximize learning outcomes and employment opportunities for students in the legal cannabis industry. The programming will bring sharp focus to advancing social equity across all on ramps to cannabis-related businesses.

Supercritical co-founder and managing partner Sparky Rose noted, “While the Illinois Social Equity Program is not perfect, it’s the most comprehensive and equitable program in the nation, and it is certain to be a model followed by other states as they roll-out their adult-use programs. I suspect that Illinois will institute additional guardrails after the first set of adult-use licenses are awarded (there is a planned disparity study at that time) to ensure that all groups disadvantaged by prior cannabis prohibition have equal access to participate in the industry they helped build.”

Designing programs that provide an infrastructure from which to build career growth in the cannabis industry is a priority for OHC. Amanda Gettes, Director of Strategic Initiatives at OHC, recognizes the value that a full spectrum consultancy like Supercritical brings to this initiative. “Having Supercritical contribute to our development ensures that our programs will have the depth and detail necessary to bolster our students’ success,” said Gettes.
