Dear City Colleges of Chicago community,

The transition to the fall season requires that we take the appropriate measures to remain healthy. Getting a flu shot helps avoid getting sick and protects the people around you, especially those with weakened immune systems.

Understanding the importance of this health measure, we have partnered with the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) to host more than 40 of the city’s 50 flu shot clinics. The flu shot is available to adults and children six months of age and older regardless of immigration status and ability to pay. Bring a copy of your insurance card, if you have one.

Clinic times will vary by location, and walk-ins are welcome. Locations include:
• West Side Learning Center, 4624 W. Madison St.
• Arturo Velazquez Institute, 2800 S. Western Ave.
• Richard J. Daley College, 7500 S. Pulaski Rd.
• Wilbur Wright College, 4300 N. Narragansett Ave.
• Olive-Harvey College (Drive-thru), 10001 S. Woodlawn Ave.
• Kennedy-King College/Whole Foods, 832 W. 63rd St.
• Harry S Truman College, 1145 W. Wilson Ave.

The flu shot clinics will be available over the next seven weeks, ending on November 14, 2020.

As a reminder, the flu shot is also offered (often at no additional cost) in many doctor’s offices, pharmacies, as well as by many employers and schools. If you don’t have a regular doctor, locate a pharmacy or visit any community flu clinic.

Stay healthy and safe this season.

Sincerely,
Chancellor Salgado
