Year after year, City Colleges of Chicago has been proud to celebrate and pay tribute to the generations of African-Americans who have made a lasting impact on our colleges, our city, and our greater society.

Black History Month events across the colleges inspire and energize students, staff, and faculty every February. While this year’s events may look different than those of our past, the tradition is living on in new and engaging ways.

From virtual book club discussions, Ayodele dance lessons, and a game of Kahoot, to a webinar on conducting your own African-American genealogy research and more, our colleges are hosting more than 30 different events throughout the month to celebrate and honor Black history.
