About Raising the Bar: Unlocking Career Success Webinar

On November 14, the U.S. Department of Education announced their series titled Raise the Bar: Unlocking Career Success, a new Biden-Harris Administration initiative supported by the Departments of Commerce and Labor to reimagine how we prepare youth to thrive in their future careers. The initiative blurs the lines between high school, college, and the world of work, providing students with accelerated and innovative opportunities to earn college credits and gain real-world career exposure and experiences.

The webinar will highlight the Chicago Roadmap, a unique partnership designed to support students along a seamless path to and through college on their way to chosen careers. The Chicago Roadmap is a partnership between two major public education systems, CPS and CCC, to increase student outcomes in college readiness, enrollment, and employment. This work includes expanding opportunities for early college, career-connected learning, college readiness, postsecondary navigation, and systems alignment.
