Daley College President Janine E. Janosky, PhD, kicked off the month of April with a celebration at her alma mater to recognize her achievements.

On April 1, 2023, President Janosky received the Award of Distinction from Marshall University, a West Virginia public research institution founded in 1837. She earned her Master of Arts from the university’s College of Liberal Arts. Janosky was honored with over a dozen other notable Marshall University alumni at the 84th annual Alumni Awards Banquet.

“This event is an opportunity to recognize the remarkable achievements of our awardees,” said Matt James, the executive director of alumni relations at Marshall University.

President Janosky is proud to be a Marshall University alumna advancing her alma mater’s mission by promoting the public good through innovation. With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, she remains focused on promoting positive outcomes for students.

Janosky is also deeply committed to advancing education, biomedicine, and community health. In fact, her national model for public-private-philanthropic partnerships earned her recognition as a United States White House Champion of Change under former President Barack Obama.
