- Registrants must be 21 years of age or older at the time of class registration
- Must have a valid US Driver’s License for at least one year prior to class registration
- Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language
- The City of Chicago reviews criminal background checks and certified driving records when issuing public chauffeur licenses. Individuals with criminal convictions, warrants, pending cases, or poor driving history may be denied a license. Anyone who owes money to the City must resolve their debt through payment or an approved payment plan before becoming eligible. Visit Chicago.gov/PublicVehicles for more information.
