Harry S Truman College class of 2026 Valedictorian Sabrina knew Truman was the place for her because of its affordability. She could earn her associate degree without going into debt, and the college could provide a strong STEM background to help her succeed in her long-term career goals.

During her time at Truman, Sabrina was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society and an active participant in numerous other clubs. Sabrina also works as a bartender to help support herself and her family, balancing work and academics.

Sabrina plans to transfer to a four-year school to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering before attending law school to earn her Juris Doctor degree to become a patent attorney. Sabrina was recently named a Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholar. This highly prestigious scholarship can provide up to $55,000 per year toward undergraduate tuition, helping Sabrina reach her goals.

She’s grateful for the strong foundation and community Truman provided her.

"People at Truman are like-minded and share a common goal. Professors and staff are super supportive, and they want you to succeed."
